Question Active Autowerke BOV question [e92]

Hey all,
So I just took my car to a shop and replaced my charge pipe and diverter valves to the Active Autowerke BOV combo. However, I am not sure if it's normal to hear a pff pff pff noise when I accelerate? Does this happen to anybody else? I asked the guy who installed it after if it was normal and he said it was but I wanted to confirm it with people on here Thanks.
(N54 btw )

yes that's fine =] the more boost you build the louder the pfffff noise youll hear

You should only get that noise after letting off the throttle. If you hear it while accelerating hard, then it's likely the CP's connections/clamps are not tight.
I've had this issue quite a few times. Hose slipped off, hose cracked at the clamp, high boost blew hose off.

BOVs/DVs should be closed during acceleration.

They should open when you let off.

If they aren't, you're running the wrong spring, they're broken, or they're not installed properly.

You shouldn't be hearing them venting pressure under acceleration.

It's under hard acceleration when it makes that noise. Idk why the person who installed it said its normal... it feels like it's less powerful too. Dang not sure what to do but thanks everyone.

Sounds like you got a loose connection somewhere, either the cp to the throttle body, or the bov to the cp

I had a AA BOV the bloody rubber diaphragm had exploded...

Wasnt happy as It had bugger all use and they charge me a crazy amount of $ for a replacement (by memory 40usd shipped)

The AA blow off valve is adjustable. It could be set too soft and being blown open.
