I just received a call from my CA that my car will be prepped and ready for pick up on Saturday afternoon!

Seriously? And it's on the Otello? I can't imagine that, out of the thousands of cars to be processed in the next 7 days, that the dealer knows yours will be 1st in line...and it's not even in port yet.

Not doubting you...just trying not to get my OWN hopes up for a fast delivery.

You serious? damnit! I'm at Wide World and am hoping that mine will be ready by Saturday afternoon as well..but today is my CA's day off so who knows...It might be and i'll find out tomorrow

I think it's a slim chance. Not scheduled at the port until the 8th at 6:30pm.

As soon as I spot the Otello I will let you know. It did leave the port an hour early as well.

Are the cars offloaded from the vessel that late at night (after 6:30PM) or do they wait until Saturday.

And...anyone know if the VPC will be open Saturday?

By my guess, best case scenario is as follows:

FRI - vehicles offloaded
SAT - VPC is open and begins processing...I think it takes 2 days from start to finish for a vehicle?
MON PM - 1st vehicles (400?) complete inspection
TUES - loaded on to trucks...arrive at nearby dealerships
WED/THURS - 1st pick-ups

That's a total guess. Anyone else have a better idea? Dado?

I am guessing Tuesday or Wednesday pickup now because it will probably be stuck there for the weekend. I will check DCS throughout the weekend and see how it goes.

I have no idea? The WW site still says tomorrow, as does firstnynj.com. I really hope that your CA is correct. I would love to get my car!

Its my first BMW, first car in general; I have been driving Land Rovers for the last 8 years, and I am ready for a change!

Just finished up a round a meetings and had calls from my CA and my insurance company.

First, regarding the ETA, I will add that my dealership is actually owned by BMW, so they may receive advance notice/preferential treatment regarding delivery scheduling. Second, my CA confirmed the car with Geico, and the VIN matches the number assigned when I placed my order. Third, there is less than 5 miles on the OD!

I'm fairly certain it's my car, and the only question is will it be ready when I pick it up on Saturday. The policy card has just been e-mailed to the CA, so I'm pretty much set other than accessories and tire insurance.

Not a liar but I see why he would say that. On DCS which is the bmw dealer website does show that the boat has arrived. The live tracking and the port does not. I have a report that is actually scheduled to arrive a little earlier on the 8th at 11:30am which is good news I suppose.

Guess who received a call from his CA with the information that he made a mistake and confused my Montego 328xi Sport with a Montego 328xi non-Sport?

You guessed right!

Guess who was told by his CA that appreciated my understanding and promised to make good on delivery and that I was going be very pleasantly surprised?

Let's hope so!

He told me to expect delivery no later than a week from Saturday.

And so it goes...
