Technically that can be said for any car. So the problem lies with the drivers and not the car. I know quite a few GTR owners that track their cars and are very skilled, just funny to hear people say it's all in the car.

I never said it's all in the car. But people who are skilled drivers who buy a car with the intention of taking it to the track generally pick lighter RWD cars in which you can turn off all the assists and make use of the skill you have. It's just more fun and rewarding that way. The GTR is the opposite of that.

I do know of a few really talented drivers who own GTR's, but they are very far and few between.

Now you're just assuming things. I know tons of track cars that aren't light RWD cars. Everyone has different tastes in cars and experiences and that's what makes it interesting. Combine a skilled driver with a capable car like the GTR and you get very quick lap times while having fun. People seem to forget that all the nannies can be turned off.

Not assuming. Just based on what I've seen at the track. I've driven GTR's a few times and have gotten rides in them at the track. Yup, they are very fast and the level of grip is impressive...but that's about it. Not very rewarding to drive (unless drag racing is your thing) and they feel heavy, large, and numb.

.
Not really any reason to dispute this if you have been to the track. What are the cars of choice? Vette, 911, e36 m, e46 m3, maybe cayman or miata. Then everyone else who doesn't know better pretty much.

GTR's are very very capable cars folks.. Whether its on the track, mulholand drive, drag strip or just an occasional red light stomp.. Everyone has their own preference just like the M3 is fun to drive everywhere. I feel more connected to an M3 than a GTR, maybe due to size? I just feel the M3 has more "character" than the GTR and many other cars haha nonetheless I would still cop a GTR

Interest name AMG LAWL...

Recently saw an M6 with a very similar license plate.

I always thought the GTR was so large. Especially after the photos of it sitting next to an NSX were plastered around the web. However, dimension wise and weight wise it's not nearly as heavy and big as I thought. The design makes it look larger than it is in my opinion.

Great all around cars where people's largest complaint is that they are too easy to drive. For the price (especially used) they are amazing cars.

I just can't get into the looks of one.

Yeah, GTR is big.
Just for the comparison, here is the pic side by side with M3.

GTR's attract sausage. I'd rather have an M3 regardless of how much faster it is.

Yea GTR is a big car. However when I drove it, it felt much lighter than my e93. I'm guessing it's due to the tq. Great car but boring to drive unless you're beating the hell out of it. The worst was on the highway doing 60mph. Felt like I was choking the car and it just wanted to downshift and take off.

That's because it is lighter. The E93 is a pig at ~4000 lbs. GT-R is ~3800. E93 is also very top heavy, so with the center of gravity that high, really makes the car feel even heavier.

"yeah, he drives a powder blue 3 series!"

I almost died.

My wife had some friends from work over last week, who are into cars. They saw my E92 SSII in the garage and look at my wife and say "You just said it was a BMW... do you know what this is!!!"
