Significant Decrease in Performance
So I have a 2009 BMW 328I, has the N52KP, black top, no disa, completely stock, but I've been experiencing sluggish and slow acceleration, like I'm talking about an average of 12.7 second 0-60s, car is up to date on maintenance and no cel, but I did get 2 ghost codes in inpa, 2AA8 and 2AA9, which is weird because one of these codes involves disa, which i don't have, but the other one is vanos, so I took a look at values of disa while the car was warmed up idling, here's a picture. What should I do? Replace VANOS?

I just check now, the car had a 330i tune so both 2AA8 and 2AA9 are faulty ghost codes, so technically i have no codes at all, but when I check my cats, header 1 warmed up was 427 pre cat and 350 post cat, for the other header it was 300 pre cat and 350 post cat. Any idea if it could be a bad cat?

AFR?
LTFT? STFT? Is trans shifting as it should? Go to manual mode, and start in first! |

Also, do a controlled highway test of mpg, say 50 miles at 60 mph. Fill before test and fill immediately after.

are Links to BMW Fault Code Lookup Info Sheets for each: https://bmwfault.codes/XMLDiagView?d...E4NjU3MTYwNQ== https://bmwfault.codes/XMLDiagView?d...E4NjU5NzIwNQ== Your VANOS Cam Angles & Deviation from Target Values (Sollwert) are fine. NO VANOS issue. I would suggest viewing & attaching ScreenPrint of Fault Code with Freeze Frame Data for EACH 2AA8 & 2AA9. Here is the INPA Menu Sequence/ Path to view that data: INPA > MSV80 DME > F4 > F1 > F3 Fault Memory with Freeze Frame Data I don't have DISA on my 3/2007 build 328xi. Attached is a ScreenPrint of the DISA Activation Screen: INPA > MSV80 > F6 Activations > F1 Group 1 > Shft+F6 Activation DISA My screen shows the default value for NO DISA valves & indicates NEITHER is available for activation. Both are Closed (33%) Either you have DISA & neither valve is functional, OR the DME coding is for DISA but you have NO valves. Please attach ScreenPrint of YOUR INPA "Shft+F6 Activation DISA" Screen. George |
