Sunroof drains, interior leaks

Had been having an issue with the sunroof, leaking water into the passenger side.

I've put the car up on stands, cleaned the lower drain ports, flushed multiple times, cleaned the channels, removed interior, dropped headliner, removed drain tubes, blew through tubes (there was something cleared out on both F/R drain tubes) removed water, dried, all of it.

I'm pretty certain someone had the sunroof out, there is silver paint on the front drain tubes. Upon further inspection there were two 10mm bolts just loose including one loose bolt on front passenger grab handle.

The front passenger drain was in fact clogged but looking at the cassette assembly, I noticed there is a plain gap between the lip of the drain guide and roof of the vehicle.

Referencing diagrams on realoem, I couldn't see any front/side seal other than the rear foam strip which is in place.

You can just put your finger up and over the front lip, in the middle of the rear door you can reach in and place your index finger up into in the rear guide.

So, in this case if it cannot drain, it comes right over the sides?

Can anyone confirm it is actually designed like this?

More than likely your drains are clogged. You need to access the two front lower exit ports (behind front wheels under some paneling) along with the two rear ones (between rear bumper and body).

After dropping the headliner, I removed each tube and blew some air through it. The front passenger side surprisingly had a berry or chunk of something lodged in it even after I got it draining.

Hope you get it sorted out!
