Exclamation This thing has more pieces than a spaceship!

Hey guys, I'm from Chicago and new to the forum...
Reason for posting is because I'm in the middle of a pretty large project. I just bought a 2006 325i from and auction with a little front end damage and had to replace headlights, core support, etc yadda yadda...
And see, I've pretty much got all the parts; now the problem is putting the damn thing back together
I was wondering if any of you techs are good with electrical "routines" with the 3 series... I have the adaptive headlights w/xenon and have plugged in all the wires/connectors but I'm scarred I should take some precaution before starting up the car and turning the lights on for the first time as they were well over 1,000

Not sure what you would need to do re: headlights, there's no training or anything that I have read about. Just make sure they are aimed correctly because after putting them in you cannot adjust the left to right position. Adaptive and self leveling respond to inputs received from sensors on the front and rear suspension. There are two servos in each headlight that perform the movement.

You need to invest in a Bentley Manual. It is our bible. http://www.bentleypublishers.com/bmw...ir-manual.html

Also, I hope you got a great deal.

If no codes are being thrown use Chevron Techron fuel injector cleaner (concentrate). It solves rpm fluctuating upon cold start-up. Also, for most BMW problems start off by scanning your car with the Peake Research Tool. It contains the actual BMW codes. If you want to register a newly installed battery for free (just buy a $10 cable) and google/download BMWLogger
