Reverse camera on the Eonon GA6165

Hello,

I was thinking of buying the Eonon GA6165 unit for my E90. It looks like a decent unit for a good price atm?
They sell backup camera on their sites, but I want one integrated in the door handle.
I am 96% sure it will work with whatever one I buy from ebay, example: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Car-Trunk-Ha...sAAOSwdIFXzRxV
, but just wanted to be 100% sure before i got it. As far is I know it is only a video signal that goes through the cable?

Also is there a way to get it to fit properly like the Dynavin that was a sticky on this forum?

- Thanks for the reply

I have the d5165 by eonon. Works great but....if u have bmw assist, your new radio is not compatible, and you will have an SOS error come up. Not a biggie except the rear view camera may come up scrambled. Mine is doin this. Put the camera in yesterday and works great until I start engine and sos error comes up....then I loose the camera signal. There is a way to disable bmw assist in coding, which I will try today. Just an FYI

I just got my GA6165 yesterday and I am hoping to install it this weekend. I bought the tag light camera, and I was hoping to find wiring hints in the forums. Did you buy and install one of these? Did you have to use a relay to power the camera?
I have an 09 E93 not sure how similar our cars are with regard to Reverse light wiring.

I had the SOS error programmed out. There is a forum vendor that can do it remotely. You'll either need a cable, or buy one from them. Bimmergeeks
