sorry. which pin you dont have in cable from car? best would be add some pictures. full seat scheme with description is on 3rd. page.
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...=480313&page=3 as you can see. pin 4 is big one...for heating. I also think its for adjusting electric seats (front, back, up,down...etc). coz another + cable is on pin 7 or 9, which is for side bolster and lumbar, as you alread wrote. thanks for you response ,i don't have cable in this pin in the car because my original is not electric... i post photo the news seat and i what controlled ....
i thinks this pin 4 is adjustable seat electric but i don't know when i plug in fusebox.... the pin 9 and 4 are exchanged when i see the shema in page 3 because normally pin 4 is for heating or seat module but if you see in wds for car 2011 the pin 9 is for heating module and pin 4 only for seat module.... i am confused only with this pin 4 my drive seat have seat module but it's ok |

Pin 4 is for power. Connect it to pin 7 or pin 9 and you will be good to go.

Thank you so much to the OP for this write up. I was able to get my seats in, and the can bus wires were the hang up I was having. They work great, and my 323 is moving on up. Cheers

Confused
Hello all BMW lovers!
I have installed fully electric memory seats in my BMW E91 from 06 instead of the seats I had in fabric with heat. I have read everything on this page several times and installed the driver's seat with great success. Everything works on the driver's side memory, power, heat, etc., but not on the passenger side. There it is completely dead, I have 12V so I think it should work, the sideboolesters works fine and K_can I have not plugged in when I have understood that it only applies to the driver side and there are no pins on the passenger seat for K_can. So then my question! What am I missing? have been trying for two days now to get the passenger seat to work but it is really not so now I turn to you. please help! |

I have kcan wiring on both seats. Maybe you should try that? Before when I only did power and ground without the kcan, the seats would lose power after a few minutes

Doesn't anybody know? I have read this thread many times but i cant get the passenger side to work, exept from the side bolster. I have conect pin 8 to 13 and pin 4, 7 and 9 to eachother and i got 12v to the seat. But still wont work...
And the seat dont have k-can beacuse its on passenger side. What am i missing? |

The part where you labeled ???? Should be either power or ground cables. On my passenger side the side bolsters and actual movement are separate power and ground wires. Essentially you should have two power and two ground wires going into the seat. The way I wired mine was just to have one power and ground, then added a splitter to each one to create a total of 4 wires

Yes, I've paired the power with each other and the same with the ground. I can not do that then?
I think it should work, I have power to the little black box, etc. but I can not get the seat to move .. But you think that I should have different power supplies to the various cables? thankfull for all helt i can get! |

No the same power supply should work...I'm not really sure then. Even without kcan if you just wire power and ground to the seat you should have movement already. Maybe double check the connections again to make sure you've got the pins going to the right slot? Did you modify the seat wiring or your cars harness?

I've checked the connections several times. know it was the same thing on the driver's seat until I plugged in k_can. but like I said, I have no connection on the passenger side for k_can. I have modify on the seat connector. does not think I should have to recode the car when it works on the driver's side? |

Since you modified the seat connector...did you check your cars harness to make sure the power and ground pins line up? In other words, my car initially came with manual seats so I had to modify my cars harness to have power and ground. I wired them based on the configuration of the seat I purchased. Interestingly enough, the wiring between the m3 seats I have now and my buddy's 335 is different so I had the move the pins around depending on which seat I'm using.
I did not have to so any coding for both seats to work |

I want to swap a non sport heated seats for a sport heated seats E87. The plugs and pin, seems to be equal to the e90, does anybody know if the electric diagram is exactly the same.
