CHIPPING

Have been interested in getting a Chip from www.tdi-tuning.co.uk and recently came across an Aust. Co. in NSW that has Dealers/Distributors around the Country.
Try www.dpchip.com Interesting reading when it comes to Guarantees, Product, Engine and Driveline Warranties.
Hope these are helpful.
I personally would probably consider an upgrade of my Intercooler and Fan before installing a Chip.

Mine was in the 7's, not bad considering how i was pushing it up the mountain. Was very low on the way to the meet - around the 5s

From fueling in Fairfield in the morning to pulling into the drive in the arvo it was 280km all up for me...

That's pretty good economy Pyro - high 5s is my best so far (ha!).

Some more on the performance of the mighty 330D coupes, I found an article in my collection of car magazines, in Motor Sept 2010, of the Bang For Your Bucks results. Its the edition with the orange E92 M3 GTS on the cover.

Around Wakefield Park, the car with a professional driver lapped in the mid 1M:11secs, about the same time as the 317Kws HSV and Chrysler SRT8. V Max at the end of the straight was 170Kph but was the fastest car around turn 8 leading onto the straight. (By comparison, my brother's Formula Ford 1600 open wheeler laps in the 1:05-06s, V max about 160Kph downwind).

0-100 was 6.25s; 0-400 14.39s - not bad, but a bit off the factory specs.

The car was ranked 11th out of 14 cars overall, losing out due to the high cost - at that time, $100,500 with 19s & M/Sport pack (plus dealer costs and on roads). The testers were impressed thou, especially with "its cutting-edge all alloy ... 24-valve 3.0 litre turbodiesel".

Has anyone put h&r sway bars on their car? Heard adding these would make cornering much easier.

seems to me that if the air intake could be straightened sum on 2011 335D, and maybe filter like the BMC would help it's performance tremendously

Yeah a high flow intake would only do any good with a tune anyway. Never heard of straightening an intake to improve power tremendously :/ I doubt it would work. Um, a tune I think would take a 335d to like 260kw I think? I'd also high flow the turbo but there are plenny other thigs to do.

Diesel Power

yeah, meant replacing stock filter & plumbing to straighten /increase airflow 2 turbos, but have talked 2 people & they are producing 600 ft lbs with stock system even though it's piping around elbow 2 get 2 thumb. kinda defies rational concepts! LOL

Just an update. Power kit ran in. Awesome drive now. Picks up really smoothly now. No regrets except for the big hole in the pocket. Haha

Gained 90Nm Torque by mapping

I did the Evolve Technic performance upgrade (tuning/map) now rnnning around 435nM Torque.
Other than that, just help it breathe with AFE air intake and K&N filter.

I like electronic gizmos and sound system mode more than anything.

Check out my ride (E91 on steroids)

Nice! I've heard good review about Evolve Technik in BXH, how much does it cost you if you wouldn't mind asking?

I don't know about meth injection, but I do know there is LPG injection. Usually done on 4x4's but I doubt it rules out beamers such as ours, claims have it that there is about a 20% increase in power, torque, and fuel efficiency. Also improving emissions which is why apparently the gov offers a rebate for buying it and having it installed, I think ittl cost you like 3k all up.
