I had several meets with honda community owners in the past in tacoma. I think tacoma is good place to meet. just my opinion though. I don't want seattle e90ers to come down any further, because I know OR e90ers won't really join the meet anyway. Something about oregon people not wanting to meet outside people. Is there any good driving place up there? Perhaps, some mountain road fun or back road(since you said you know some) and stuff like that will be great. A photoshoot at a beautiful place is a MUST. We gotta represent the North West E90ers!!

Sorry to hear that the OR folks are not very enthusiastic about meeting up. I don't mind driving to Tacoma at all, though I don't know anything about that place. I've only driven through there once before.
I know some nice backroads that we can go gallavanting through but it would probably require at least a couple hours commitment driving. What I do know, I know from the driving tours I've taken with the CCA up here. We could just go a little ways replicating one of those routes. I don't know of any awesome raods super close to the city, i.e. within 25 miles. That's not to say there are none. If nobody on here knows, maybe I can find out from some of the CCA guys at the event this Saturday. Here are links to photos from both of the drives I went on with the club. The Yakima drive was the shorter and closer one. Yakima: http://www.flickr.com/photos/41869580@N00/sets/834780/ Hood River: http://www.flickr.com/photos/41869580@N00/sets/1106538/ Another really pretty place for photos (if the sun is out... well the whole place is awesome WHEN the sun is out), is up around Deception Pass and Anacortes. But that is also a relatively long drive and the route is boring to say the least. So that's probably a non-starter. Anyway, we've got some time to brainstorm and I'm willing to do some scouting around as well if you've got ideas or have heard about possibly cool places/routes.

Taking 101 down (or up) the coast is a pretty nice drive. It's more of a scenic thing than a driving thing though. There are all kinds of nice stops like at the rainforest, or beaches, or Lake Crescent to name a few. It would definitely be a long day though, esp leaving from Oregon if you wanted to do it in one day.

I asked the driving tour organizer in the car club about nice driving roads nearby that we could use for an E90 meet.
Instead of giving me the answer to my question, he proposed I start a Special Interest Group (SIG) in the local CCA for our wonderful E90. I'm thinking about doing it and I'm happy to organize any meet we have, not necessarily a CCA event though if we don't want that. Looks like the weather won't be half-bad this Saturday. Who's up for a meet? How far is a nice beach from around here besides Alki? Might be a nice place for a photo shoot. Or any other place you can think of.

I'm busy until early Saturday afternoon on the 18th. But I am down to head out after that, or on Sunday. I should be pumped up from the Car Control Clinic I'm participating in this Saturday.
I've come to the conclusion that we just need to pick a date and head out. Participation from other local board members seems low. Now Core, we're gonna have some issues if its just you and me. Can't have your car masquerading as mine I'm kidding of course, I've just been the only ZSP Arctic 330 I've seen so far around here. It would be neat to have two of them together I think.

I think I'm gonna try to check out the tulip festival next weekend if it doesn't rain the whole time like this weekend.
Hmmm, wouldn't that be a nice photo op? A few E90's and acres of tulips.

what's up everyone, i just ordered mine couple weeks ago. what seattle dealership everyone order from? I got mine at BMW northwest. 2 things i was stuck on was saphire black vs. silver, and idrive or not. I got saph black and no idrive. does anyone have the idrive? I've heard a lot of bad things about it in magazines, but it seems like people in this forum love it... your opinion?

Hey again everyone. The local BMW CCA chapter is doing a drive out to the Long Beach peninsula on July 15th. I will most likely be going and you can come check out the drive without being a member for your first event. Check the forums at bmwpugetsound.com for more information.
Hope to meet some of you E90posters there. Brian you coming? I think your car should be back by now. ...I need to get my rear in gear and get that oil change and Zaino done before the drive.

Whazz-up! Finally found some seattle people here too. I lived in Bellevue, 20. Got a 330I for almost a year (7200 miles on). And dont go to the Bellevue BMW Dealership! They suck and crappy service.

Ya, I was looking into going on that drive to Long Beach. Just have to make sure I don't have any plans.
I also need to find some time to Zaino my car. I was going to do it this weekend but between the car control class Saturday night and all day Sunday, and taking my car to get my clear bra and hood fixed up in Bellevue, I don't really have time. (long story, suffice it to say, Accutint in Bellevue put tons of swirls in my hood when they put the clear bra on, they are being very nice about it so far though) I'll probably wash it tonight, and maybe I'll zaino everything but the hood and do that right after they polish out the swirls

Okay I guess I will see you there if you can make it. I will definitely not get to the Zaino before the weekend but need to try to do the oil.
You need to tell me more about the clear bra experience, I sort of regret not getting it now.
