Remove or cover front bumper plate holes!
Hey guys,
I have these holes from the license plate on my front bumper and I want to remove the holder but the holes (4: 2 small, 2 big) are absolutely horrifying to look at. I have seen the various other topics on this and I have bought bumper plugs but they only work with, 1 the big holes, 2 if the holes weren't coming out. So I am stuck here and I am not a big DIY guy unless it is straightforward and hard to mess up. Any help would be appreciated. See attached images Thanks! |

You can always sand the part sticking out and then put plugs in. Otherwise only a body shop could make it look like there were never any holes.
I vote to just use the plugs. You can also just use touch up paint to fix the small marks the license plate screws left behind. |

Only problem would be that last step is a lot easier said than done. I've seen a few guys do it to the point it looks decent in photos, but you could always still tell when looking at it in person.

I had the same dilemma and my simple solution was a European license plate. Not as clean as no plate and a repaint, but it looked better than the US plate or screw holes.

Before I had my front bumper redone to fill in the holes, I went to the hardware store and picked up these tiny plugs for pennies each. They fit snugly into the holes and barely stuck out. Threw some touch up paint onto the face of the plug and had a nice easy fix for a couple bucks.
From more than 10 feet away, it was impossible to see the plugs, they were smaller and less noticeable than the actual bumper plugs for sale.

I had the same problem. Just sand/use a box cutter blade to trim off the parts of the hole that are poking out and then plug it. Any hardware store sells small plugs, I found white ones that were a 90% match for $5 lol.
