Every car looks better when clean, and every car looks better in sunlight, if you ask me, and SG is no exception. SG has alot of different looks that vary with the lighting, including bluish and purplish hues. Some people don't like this, pesonally I think it is quite fetching. JH |

SG seems to ba very popular colour world wide. not sure whether one reason is because it is the brochure car colour. wife liked it, i actually booked 320i titan silver manual and then we changed the colour to SG manual after a month. Singapore dealership brought in the only TWO manual E90 BMWs by mistake. luckily, they manage to sell the other manual car

I think SG is one of the more dynamic colors. In fact, some people just compliment the color and nothing else when they see my car.
Even though it's seems really popular, I've seen more Black and Silver E90's than any other color. weird... |

I was going to get SG and thankfully I saw it during sunny and rainy days. Made the choice of not getting it very easy.

I like SG best when it comes off dark and creamy,I wish it stays like that all the time.IMO Honda makes the best graphite color. I really like that honda accord dark gray it also looks the same all the time ,SG was my answer, and IMO Lexus makes the best metallic black and white.

If you find my posts you'll see that mine was a surprise for my wife. She had no clue what I was gonna get her (neither about e90, nor about silver). THAT's why I put a poll up on what color to get, it wasn't my car in any case.
Needless to say, she loves it, and I think it looks awesome, esp. with the aluminum trim picking up. I just dont' know if I should keep the window surrounds black or chrome (yes its my wifes car, but i'm taking the liberty of modding it for her ) Quote:

You're crazy. SG is an AWESOME color, one that virtually anyone can love and it's pretty hard to call it a "stupid" choice. It will hide dirt faily well (especially compared to black!) and looks damn classy. TiAG & white "pretty stupid choices" too? C'mon, wtf? It could much more easily be argued that Black is a "stupid" choice because of the maintenance factor and how crappy they look as soon as they even begin to get dirty - which is by the time you're finished drying it. But I digress!

Are you high?
This looks dull? I'm sorry, but to me, this is one the sexies colors BMW has come out with in awhile (gray wise). When clean, she's super sleek. And even when she's dirty, it hides the dirt pretty well. I'm very glad I got SG.

Well, the old E46 Coupe brochure used to have a dark blue one on the cover (I bought my 325Ci in it and loved it, but can't remember the colour name right now...was it Mystic?)...not sure about the sedan brochure.
I bought my E90 in Arctic - in the Australian sunshine it is a very interesting colour - seems to have some of the features of darker colours but the upkeep of lighter colours...I really like it, but it doesn't seem to be very popular though. Have wondered a few times if I should have specced SG or TiAg but I'd be happy with any of them - not fussed. I bought my 130i in Le Mans Blue and will never look back. Black looks good (but I am not prepared for that kind of upkeep) and I have seen a grey and silver one and didn't like them at all. I've seen a few clean black E90s on the roads and they look very classy, especially with the sports pack and window tinting. |

E46 cabrio brochure featured a Mystic Blue car with Hawaii plates. Loved my Mystic Blue and got tons of compliments on it. It looked awesome when clean and it was sunny.
Almost got Montego Blue, but went with Sparkling Graphite. So far, I love it ; haven't had too many "purplish" days yet. Most of the time it looks like a liquid metal color, at least as good as the concept M3. In the right light/sun, it really shines with the purple and green flecks. Space is just shades of gray. Have to say, the Black Sapphire metallic looks pretty good, too when clean and shiny.
