Im thinking i will give it a try one day.

The concept im thinking is the #26 fuse, make it into a switch that disconnect/connect the fuse so like an off/on switch.
So basically when i want RWD, Stop car -> Hit the Switch -> Restart the car.....good to go.

proceed should look into this as well. I know our top 3 favorite tuners Proceed, BMS and Cobb should integrate this feature. It will be months/years after we leave till we see this but I would be willing to pay a premium on an XI platform for a switched response. Audi/vw have tapped the limits of the can bus system should/could we???

Ive been trading emails with Terry and it looks like at some point this summer we'll get together to look into this. I'll keep this thread updated with that progress as it happens. No posts from me means that we haven't made progress yet.

So is this bad for your car because i just drove the hell out it lol? My 'service engine soon' warning came up after i plugged it back in but that could just be an oil change right? but wouldn't the oil just have its own individual warning because both warnings are on? And also tire warning came up after when the tires were fine before...i'm going to check it out tomorrow see if the pressure is all right.

The service engine soon light usually goes away within a day or two after plugging the fuse back in.

But the best part was the unexpected bonus when i put the fuse back in. Im not going to tell anyone yet, to avoid the placebo effect. Go try it, and i will tell you what I noticed in a couple days. Don't worry; no warning lights stay on, the wipers return to their normal operation. It was a very subtle improvement I noticed.

So get out there! If it is raining your wipers will remain on and it will be super easy to verify RWD.
DO you think your saving on gas MPG??? maaan i know im like 2 yrs late on this lol!

Any difference for the 2011+ xdrive models? I heard some differences. Which fuses do I pull? Also, no errors or codes when you plug em back in, right?

Tried to remove fuse 26 and fuse 50 the other day. Car did went rwd, but something weird happened. The car wasn't chipped, it was stock. Temp was good, wasn't because car was cold. Steering wheel controls didn't work either. Put back both fuses, start the engine, everything back to normal, chipped. Did this 2 times, same happened. Has anyone experienced something like that?

So all I have to do is remove fuse # 26 and my 335xi will be rwd?
Anybody know if 100% of the power will be delivered to the rear wheels?
If so I could use a local 2wd Dyno
