Diesel ECO credit: still available?

Does anyone know if the Diesel Eco credit (was it $4500?) from BMW is still available for a new 2011 335d? If so, can this also be combined with European Delivery? Thanks!

if you go to BMWNA site, it shows the eco credit (4500$) for 2011 this month.
Combined with ED, IDK.

I believe it goes to June.

Yes, you are good to go with this AND ED. Have fun.

Seems like it keeps getting extended. I thought the Eco Credit originally was supposed to be discontinued in 2009.

A related question about 335d.

How does the $4500 off work in case of a lease, it is taxable?

And what is the $900 tax credit that shows up, I guess not valid on lease vehicles?

$4500 hundred is taken off your MSRP. Good until June 30Th. Also includes ED cars. $900 tax credit is not available on the lease. Purchase only

I didn't hear about the other extensions until the first day it was over.

I talked to one of the SA's at my dealership (same SA that sold me my 135i in 2008 actually) and I asked him about the Eco credit.

He said it's been renewed month-to-month for at least the past year. So it's definitely good through the end of July 2010. Maybe it'll get renewed for August, but nobody will know for sure until August arrives.

Are you sure?

Does it come off MSRP or the Cap Cost? They are different and the impact is going to be different.

Yep, $4500 is a cash rebate...as others have said, it's not a MSRP discount. Dealers want you to think of it that way. That's how dealers were trying to portray it to me.

igom3, if your got options like ZPP, ZSP, etc. that could easily be over $4000 or $5000! You totally just offset that whole eco credit right there.

In the end, I got a good one, getting $750 or so over invoice, and then you subtract out the eco credit Would like to do ED, but just can't plan on any vacations right now

I think the eco credit is now extended through the end of August. It's basically month to month so you never know if it's going to be extended another month or not.
