Honestly, I was bummed I didn't get to these before the OP. Now, I'm glad I spent my money on a new set. Sam, sorry you're having to deal with this. I would take this into a section of the forum that gets more traffic. This guy needs to be brought out into the light.

as i told you i have been moving and i have not been able to check all my emails. i just got on the computer today and noticed there was a claim opened and closed about the wheels. what i am seeing in those pictures is not the way the wheels looked when i shipped them off. i can honestly say that. the front had some rub marks on the edge from hitting the fender, nothing major. but it looks as though there are sideways cuts in the tire or something. the rear tires had some rub marks on the sidewalls from being so flush with the fender. but the marks all along the side of the wheel were not there when i shipped them off.

i dont know what type of claim to make against ups but the wheels did not leave my house scratched up like that.

The damage to the rims is one thing, but the fact that I haven't received one of the rims and that the tires have so little tread on them they are unsafe to drive on and that they are all different brands is a whole different story. Then there is the issue of packaging. I would have paid for boxes! but instead they arrive at my house like this:

and here you can see the 3 different brand tires:

in the for sale thread, it listed the tires that came on the wheels. nowhere did it say it was a full set of continentals. also, that is NOT the original packaging. jpurvis can back me up on this one. i had white cardboard circles on each side of the wheel, and they were wrapped with packaging wrap like you see at the grocery store. no part of the actual wheel was left out in the open.

those wheels are NOT in the condition i sent them in. the post stated the rears were falken fk452's. which still have life left in them. and the fronts are one general exclaim due to a blowout and some sort of continental tire.

Alright heres what we can do. I have contacted UPS and my local police department. Ups said that they never received the 4th wheel and the police are going to file a report and investigate. I am willing to drop all of this if you will refund me for the full amount of my purchase ($1150) and I will send the wheels and the rims back to you at my cost. Send me your address via email and as soon as i get the refund I will ship the rims (in boxes) back to you. I think this sounds fair, and no hard feelings.

I sent this to you email also.

Thanks for the support guys! Hopefully we can come to a mutual agreement. All in all I would be the one loosing $300 in shipping charges...

I love my car like you guys and want to keep adding to it but being set back $1000+ kinda complicates things. Eraun be a good guy and send me my money back so I can fueling my passion for BMWs. Thank you.

Wow Lonestar, you got called on it. Ghosthi, did you actually went to his house and saw the wheels like that? If that's the case then this guy is lying and freaking ripping him off.

They were stored in my friend's garage for at least 4-5 days. I saw them like that but there was a 4th wheel and packaging was white.

Rims should ALWAYS be shipped in boxes.... plastic wrapping is the lamest excuse for packing/shipping. I'm surprised that UPS even accepted them.

Lonestar....you're pathetic. The least you can do is take Sam up on his offer.

This is messed up. And worse is that he's living in my metroplex. Hopefully you get this solved cause I would been very upset if this happened to me.

I would hope that lonestar has no plans to remain in the BMW community after pulling a stunt like this. I'm still fairly new to the BMW scene and had a very modded MINI before. It was a VERY close knit community and we all had each others' backs. I'm fairly certain it's the same way here.

I would put this in the off topic section, or maybe the wheels and tires section. It sucks that you're the guinnea pig here, but hopefully it will prevent someone else from getting jacked by this guy too.
