I know it's crazy, going to be 6 months and still waiting. This will be my last time getting any product from them also.

If they even made me wait 3 months I would have made sure to trash them on every single car forum in North America. I'm not sure how you are so patient.

To the OP - way to go. I never purchased anything Vorsteiner since none of their products look worth the money to me. After this thread, I'll continue to steer clear.

I'll wait until the end of this month then I'll decide what to do.

I'm not a person to trash a company's name, I'm going to give them a fair chance of making things right. I'm not the only customer they have and I know sometimes things just don't happen as planned.

I don't blame you for not getting any of their products. LOL

Just make sure, the vendor has it in stock if you want it. This is a leason learn to not get anything that is special order or not in stock. I thought a brand name company would have better service but wow, I'm so wrong.

Well, I have good news and a little less than good news.
It was supposed to be picked up on Friday but they saw a little scuff on the hood and wanted to buff it out before they gave it over.
So, it will be picked up Monday and that's the day I'm dropping the car off at the body shop.

Now, let's see how long it will take to get everything painted and on my way lol.
Again...accident happened on Oct 1st. do you think I'll get my car back by mid February?

I had a hood order put in August 2010 and they said 4 weeks then 4 weeks later they said 6 weeks then they said by Thanksgiving then they said they're backed up on Christmas orders.

After months and months of calling, emailing (Stacey and Cecilia), getting run arounds, never getting emails answered, never getting messages answered, getting told Cecilia is sick and will be out this week - endless bullshit answers. I had to stay on their ass till I finally got my hood from them 2 weeks ago in January.

OP - I had the same experience as you. All I can tell you is stay on their ass and Good luck - you`ll definitely need it.

Alright guys,
I have an update.
My body shop guy went to pick it up today and did not like the looks of the hood so he refused to pick it up.
Vorsteiner said that another hood would be available to pick up on Wednesday.
It had a half an inch crack on one of the vents.

Can you believe it?

Keep in mind that to produce a single CF panel (hood or roof) takes a lot hours and labor: (re-post)

@ Mr. 5 - Sorry to hear about the delay again. For some reason it doesn't surprise me.

@ Oleg - I understand that making products in CF takes a lot of time but I'm waiting on 6 months and still nothing. Vorsteiner tells their vendor the wait time is 6-8 weeks, so the vendor pass that info along to their customer. The vendor is looking bad along with Vorsteiner.

What labor lol?
You mean the guy doing the 5 minutes of sanding and the other guy blowing compressed air on the mold?

Of course, I'm not expecting Vorsteiner to have all of those machines like BMW does but come on!
4 to 6 to 6-8 to 10 to next week to on and on and on.

And then, it now makes me question the quality control.
Why the F would they try to give me a hood with a crack?
Just imagine the guy that ordered this that lives on the east coast that waited half a year to get it. Then he finally gets it and once he opens the package he finds that the hood is cracked. Oh, it must have happened during delivery.

You know, it's very unfortunate but they 100% brought this among themselves.
Who knows, if the sales dive down then maybe they'll get caught up. lol

wow! this is unbelievable.....it took a half year to order a single carbon trunk?
It's only take about 2 weeks the most to make the trunk and get it ship out the door.

Now we know it's not made in the USA at all.

Good luck Mr.5 don't forget to post the photo when you get it.

I got word that my hood is shipped. After 6 months of waiting, I will get my hood on Monday.

I hope it's not crack or I'm going to have to wait another 6 months!
