Passenger Restraint System Malfunction?

Hey I was driving home yesterday with my brother in the passenger seat and mid-way through the drive I got this warning for the passenger restraint system, I asked my brother if he pulled the seatbelt really hard or something he said no. This warning goes if somebody is in the passenger seat or not. Maybe if you guys know what could be the problem or if I am forced to take it to a shop? THanks
