i dont know where in california your living but i have friends that have been pulled over for just doing 5 over. Not to mention in some areas where they know people speed, there are zero tolerance rules (meaning anything over speed limit and its a ticket). A great example of this would be Angeles Crest aka HWY 2.

haha I know but any time I tell people about my ticket I feel like if I just say I was doing 76 in a school zone it seems a lot worse than it actually was.

haha Lawrence, yea if your in Kern +1 equals a ticket, but its just a general rule of thumb...usually works but your right, there are exceptions...

In south Fla

I use the ticket clinic. I think they have been voted best way to get out of a ticket in sofla by new times.. Previous poster is correct. In florida many times you can pay your way out of a ticket. Definitely recommend that route.

elect to take driving school to take all the points off your license, and get a 15% discount on the ticket (which will go to the cost of the driving school)

but since you had a mandatory trial since it was 30 over, they might DEMAN you to take court-mandated driving school... which will SUCK cuz you have to go physically to the course, it wont take points off, and it will cost you extra

if you can elect driving school... go here, www.lowestpricetrafficschool.com

you can take the online course, and its accepted in all counties of southflorida!!

you want more advice, i have a full thread about it in our subforum, www.soflae90.com

dude you from FL what arey ou doin not on there yet lol

where did you get it? in what county

palm beach cops are ASSHOLEEEEES... i almost got stopped today on i95

dang sucks to hear bro.

i normally see steady group of cars on 95 (broward to like sw 10th) going 75~80 at afternoon/night.....but not alot of radar.

the AM on the sawgrass expressway is simply amazing, i probably see max 2 cars on the looonngg straightaway and i have yet to see a stationed radar since they did the road again but this is strictly during the hours after 1AM. i saw 2 chargers radaring both traffic once around 2pm.

good luck with the ticket

ha... around here 80 in a 55 is the normal flow of traffic. We slow down to 70 for construction zones

My personal best is 90 in a 45 (moderate traffic) without passing anyone.

no, but they've been known to troll forums. LOL

If I recall correctly, any citation (issued in FL) that is for 20 MPH over the posted limit can be considered a reckless driving infraction which carries stiffer penalties.

30mph over most posted limits is not THAT much when you take a few factors into consideration (e.g. conditions, experience, vehicle capabilities, etc.). Unfortunately, in most cases, one or more of those items are NOT taken into account by idiot drivers, though.

I previously posted a detailed account of what I do to have a citation dismissed as many "traffic lawyers" do the same and "hope'" for the same outcome. It's just a numbers game for them and my clean, safe driver status is WAY to valuable to leave up to a mediocre attorney charging $89 a pop.

Here's my previous post if you'd like to read/ use it... GL!

I had a failure to control and speeding recently, and I managed to get the speeding dropped.

If you are from Florida, just pay the ticket, the points shouldn't transfer to FL. If you now live in Ohio, change your profile and merge behind the truck.
Ohio has resiprocity with all 50 states and the points will transfer to and from other states. The amount of points that transfers is a variable though.
