Bump. Obviously some of you have the .torrent files. Be a good neighbor and re-post them. Thanks.

Question

These links are DEAD. Anyone have the the torrents link for the Speed & Red Light Cam discs?

Big thanks to Go123 and others for the original ISO torrents! I added the cams for both Region 1 and Region 2. Both seemed to work fine on my 2007 E90 328i.

My first time creating and hosting torrent files. So, can someone please check and let me know if the torrents are working?

Check back through the thread. I believe someone uploaded them to rapidshare so you won't need the torrents. Also, someone uploaded the originals (no camera POIs) to usenet so if you have an account with astraweb or giganews, you can probably find them through an indexing service like NZBMatrix.

No. The torrents we are looking for are the ones for the DVD's WITH cams. The non-cam torrents are up and running fine.

I haven't been on this forum much since I was getting info and helping others last year with the 2009.1 version. I spend most of my time on xoutpost.com (X5 4.8i) but they don't like to talk about copying nav discs there

I'm downloading and seeding these discs now too. I'll keep the seeding going for a couple of days.

For those interested, this is what I found worked best for me with 2009.1 burns that I did:
1. Burn ISO image to DVD+R at low speed (eg: 1x NOT 4x or 16x)
2. Use Verbatim disks (they have the most compatible dye with BMW DVD drives) . Verbatim discs from Singapore -- not others.
3. I used ImgBurn on PC. You can use NERO, Toast 8 or 9, even the disk utility in Leopard. Whatever software you use, the most important thing is to burn it at low speed. 1x is best.
4. Make sure DMA is enabled and that the CPU is not loaded during burn. In fact, exit all other programs and don't touch the keyboard.

You can use DVD-R and you can use some other brands of discs. Another good brand is Taiyo Yuden.

I used a no brand name DVD to burn 2010 Navi over the wknd and FAILED~ hum.... I will try your recommendation and see how it works. I guess speed is to decrease defect rate correct?

I used alcohol (100% similiation software) burning at 16X, but I could try at 4X and get Verbatim.

Does anyone have other suggestions why my DVD didn't work on my '07 335i?

Open the two files using a torrent software like utorrent or bit torrent. That should start downloading the ISO files which you will have to burn on a DVD with the burn image option.

I've got the originals with text layers and whatnot (they are rather huge so I just uploaded the JPEGs) in case anyone finds any typos.

Edit: Correction, they are apparently 720 dpi resolution (I don't know how that got set).
Wow, these rule! Thanks

BitTorrent is a protocol for file exchange in which you share chunks of the file with others while you are downloading it yourself. You'll need to download a torrent client like utorrent or BitTornado to establish the link with the seeder of the torrent. the .torrent files you have tell the client everything it needs to know to establish the connection and start the download. It may take a few days if the seed is slow or not many other downloaders keep the seed going so be sure you have a computer that can stay going as long as it takes.

I'm currently using Sony DVD+R. Used the same for the 2009.1 DVD. Prior to that I used Philips DVD-R and still worked fine. Used the burner on my laptop and burned at 4x but different burning software each time. Hardly notice any difference in performance.

FWIW, I used TDK DVD-R's at 2x burn speed and they work perfectly.
