Hey guys, could one of you map my recent cobb logs? I have 4 I can email.
I took some logs yesterday because my car feels substantially different with my straight pipe exhaust.. Great top end * may be better then before * but the get up and go factor doesn't seem to be there.

From the chart I noticed I was toping out at 14 psi boost, tapering down to 11 - 12!?!? Previously when I logged her I was hitting 16 - 16.5 psi tapering down to 14..

Wondering if COBB doesn't need as much boost in order to hit its targeted load due to my straight pipes, or maybe I have a boost leak?

Let me know and I can email them to you.

Thanks a million!

Too high boost?

I bought a Cobb AP a few weeks ago and haven't gotten around to check logs. I'm running 93 octane v202 with standard response. The other day while just driving around I did do a few logs just to see... I've read here about high boost (I think?) so figured I better check my numbers.

Now I've not done any pulls as such - just driving around (is it still useful?)

Anyway I haven't really figured out which pieces I'm supposed to plot but since boost is the one I'm worried about being too high I figured that was a good start. It seems to be to spike, but any thoughts?

You are fine. The spike you are seeing is after you shift / left off which is the throttle blade closing and boost building up in the prethrottle body map. If the map sensor used to dictate / direct the pressure for the tune was in the intake manifold you wouldn't see these but because it is based on the prethrottle body map sensor this is standard.

Hey guys, just wanted to get your input on this. My apologizes if this has been gone over in the past.

Basically I have to take my car to the dealership for codes relating to the vanos intake soleniod. I wanted to know if I uninstall the AP will it clear these codes? Just wanted to inquire because usually you want the shadow codes present when the vehilce is brought to the dealership so they can properly diagnosis the vehilce, otherwise they will state that there is nothing wrong with the vehicle. Is there any way to unistall the AP and keep the trouble codes?

Thanks!

Yes. The COBB AP will not clear your codes unless you specifically tell it to. You'll be fine. The codes will still be there

I was seriously considering that and running 116 octane fuel but I'm too scared, already have turbo siren as it is.

Still waiting to hear from aquamist to have pumps stock in the country. I think it would be safe to stack with meth as long as I monitor my logs very close.

Someones done it on Giac stage 2 running 100 octane and meth if I'm remembering right. Would probably be fine for a few passes down the track but I wouldn't run it all the time.

Am I missing something? I'm getting a consistent misfire around 4k RPM.... anything above or below is fine. Codes coming up are Fuel Pump Plausibility and Misfire cyl. 3.

I wanted to uninstall the AP and bring the car to the dealer with the codes, but when I uninstalled the AP it automatically erased the DTCs without asking. How can I stop it from doing this?

You don't WANT to leave the codes there. The AP throws the "tuner" code, so for your own good, clear the codes.

Yeah I realized that after I posted my question lol. Thanks for the heads up though, that would have ruined my day. Anyway, I emailed some logs to Cobb so they will take a look. New plugs, HPFP, and only happens around 4k RPM... I'm thinking bad gas, but we'll see what they say.

Sounds like possible bad gas. Maybe not enough fuel getting to those parts? I know the main cylinders that misfire on these cars are usually cylinder 5 or 6. Uninstalling my Cobb this weekend as well. Dealership visit Monday!!!
