335is runs 12.2 on just JB4 and DCI

Running 60/40 93/e85, I ran a 12.2. I'm on a custom map 6 on the new alpha JB4 firmware. Thanks to Terry for being so quick with responses and analyzing logs.

It was around 75. I actually pulled a 1.89 60' on another run and thought I beat your record, but came to see you hit 1.84 since the last time I checked

Word of advice, the cooler the transmission the better your 60' will be on good traction.

You can have good traction but if your transmission is too hot your 60' will suck

I was out on the track tonight when I saw your post, terrible only got three runs in and I was getting better every run

Yea I definitely saw that, when I was doing back to back runs, they steadily got worse, but if I let the car cool for like 15 minutes, the DCT really like that. As the night got cooler, I definitely could have pulled a better time, but the track got packed and I didn't have the patience for that. I had runs with better 60' ft and runs with higher traps. Just have to put it all together.

Good info...Have you worked out why that is & the best way to cool it down?

Lutfi001 Looks like the JB4 335is is starting to come into its own with minimum mods & excellent results. Congrats on the run.

Cant really say.....but the best way to cool it down, if your going to run back to back, allow a 5 min idle rest with the car running just before launching the car again....(on the returning road just cruise the car)

Or after every run, do not shut the car off immediately, give it 5-10 minutes idle with the hood open before turning it off

The RENNtech tune already includes thermal temp management calibrations in which I am rarely affected by it. 35 runs on May 6th 2012 proved outstanding that the DCT can hold up to more than what people expected with proper thermal calibrated management.

On a JB4 or PROcede I would suggest just resting the car after every run, but let the car idle for 5-10 minutes for shuting off the engine, IMO.

1.9 60' w/ 113mph means you picked up a lot of time somewhere, good job.. I trapped at 116+ with a 2.0 and couldn't get 12.2 awhile back

The JB4 has a high speed option for water cooling...will turn that on might help. Thanks for the input. Hope to get down to Rockingham in a few weeks.
