Great numbers, OP. We have been getting gains around +20whp and +25wtq out of our custom tunes as well. Enjoy it!

Yes, the intercooler would help you a lot my friend. Hope you are still enjoying the tune!

Pro tune prices are determined by the tuner/shop. Most shops are between $150-$200 per hour.

I would have liked to see the HP difference between Stage 2 + FMIC Aggressive and your new custom tune. Do they not have Stage 2 + FMIC Aggressive for 91 octane?

This is a Stage 2+ 1M that we tuned the other day.

To be honest, that price is kinda high. My tuner charges $180/hr

Aggressive is for 93 octane and sport is for 91. Since OP has to run 91 sport is a fair comparo.

Ya well they did tell me that they weren't the cheapest place. I'm guessing they charge what they do is because they are the only ones that do the pro tune in the entire province.

I should be getting the logs soon.

There is no such thing as Aggressive for 91. As I already mentioned, we tried mixing in fuel but it didn't work out. The timing on that map is too...aggressive...for 91. We gained about 10-15 hp during one good run with the mix.

That actually looks very similar to my runs, except for stock of course. And the tuned run HP matches the highest HP we managed on the mixed gas run. Interesting to see how close they were.

OP, do you know how much (if at all) your boost was adjusted on your custom map?? The numbers look great, especially since you're getting near-Aggressive map #s on 91 octane. This has really sparked my interest in getting a custom map (after my car stops acting like a bitch and stop misfiring ), but I'm concerned that if I do Aggressive --> Custom mapping, the boost will be in the 20s, whch is a little high for my taste.

I'm sure when I get the ATP custom tune, I can let them know this is how I felt + they could take it into account, but just wanted to see if you knew anything.

you dont need to raise boost to get more power. also the power is up top and you cant run 20 psi there...

Truu, so I guess they leave boost alone & make the adjustments elsewhere -- Timing, AFR, VANOS, etc etc

Yes, every good tuner should listen to what the owner is looking for. We would never let a car leave our shop with a map that could be considered "risky". It would be bad for the owner and look bad upon us if something were to happen to the car.

I am honestly surprised that HPDE/Autocross guys haven't requested "race" maps from us that are super conservative. It's a perfect solution for anyone who wants to feel a bit more secure that the car is ok being pushed.

Yeah, I haven't heard of any local tuners offering ATP service yet...hopefully soon. I suppose e-tune is my next best option.

I wish you guys were down here in Miami, FL. I've been looking for someone to do such thing, but there's no pro-cobb tuners down here that I gather. At least not for the BMW, last time I looked at their site.

If you know anyone let me know.

Remote tuning is always an option for anything up to Stage 2 if you guys are interested. Shoot me a PM if you would like to talk about it outside of this thread.

The dyno chart has the boost logged. You can see the min, max and avg numbers for all three runs at the bottom. Once I have the dyno files I can put together a more clear graph for that, and hopefully I'll get the actual COBB logs so you can see a very fine detail report of it. As enrita said, you can't run higher boost at higher rpm, but we increased it in the midrange.

Josh, how far is EFI from Pound Ridge, NY?? Might be up there again soon for Round II Install on some mods -- Maybe get ATP Maps after the install.

Skin -- Think I saw 18.7 for peak boost?? Can't remember wat peak boost is on Stage 2+ for Sport/Aggressive, but that's def in the safe range (esp since it's mid-range boost + not 18+ psi @ redline).

18 psi to redline is the limit for me for upgraded stage 2 turbos ;-) i wouldnt run more than 15 on stock turbos.

Pound Ridge is super close. I would say about 30 mins or so. Give us a call if you want to something up, buddy.
