oil around cover

hello. i had BMW replace my oil like a month or two ago. today i opened my hood to add more windshield washer fluid and noticed there was oil around the cap where they fill it with oil. is this just from where they pored it in and it just spilled around or is it leaking?

Yeah, they spilled some. You probably have a lot soaked into the foam under the cover as well. As far as I know there are no risks associated with this unless you have a WW meth fire.

Just clean the area, and just keep an eye on it...if more oil spills over get a new cap maybe???
