Why the M3 is effectively an auto as well. the Alpina can be used as manual and provide 100 millisecond upshifts under full load, and holds set gear regardless to rev as per manual box.
I bet the Alpina can change gear faster than you! |

Came across this old thread and I just like to say that let's not forget that both of these cars are running much stickier tires (Michelin Sport Cup) than the standard M3, which came with Pilot PS2s.
http://www.thealpinaregister.com/for...83b420737eaaec Tires are one of the biggest factors in changing a car's performance. I think it would be more fair to compare the standard M3 with sport cups against these two if you're going to compare their performance differences.
