Install woes on Hartge lip
Just got my Hartge lip painted so I was excited for the install. Unfortunately, the lip fits poorly on the bumper, It's like the lip is longer by like 10mm end to end and is so hard to sit flush on the bumper.
Installer said it could be done with some minor modifications on the lip so install has to be resched on another day. Did guys have a hard time installing your lips? I did not have a camera on me today but I will post some pics once installed |

we should send Hartge a letter or some sh1t regarding all these quality issues.
Great looking lip, but horrible quality and fitment. Replica anyone?

Your fitment issues might have been caused by the body shop ...
On my 02 IS300 I had a spoiler painted for the car. Somehow during the baking process the entire piece went out of shape and didnt fit the car properly. Junked the entire piece, started over and the body shop was more careful. No problems second time around. |

Can i ask one question? Is it a real Hartge Lip or a Replica. Because Hartge is a quality made piece and should fit nicely. The Replicas have a tendancy to fit like sh*t.

It's a real Hartge piece. It will fit but there has to be some major massaging to make it fit. I guess that's why they gave the big tube of adhesive sealant.
By the way, how did you guys go about the fins on the bumper grill, cut the fins or the lip to make it fit? Hartge says to just cut the fins but if I need to go back to stock, I would want the fins in its original form |
