WTB 2012-13 335IS Coupe

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
USD 20.00

Item Interest
Hi all, I am looking to get my hands on a 335IS 6mt Coupe, as close to stock as possible. Willing to spend up to 20k. I currently have an 07 335i 6mt e90 and am ready to move up a few model years.

I was close to pulling to the trigger one for sale on here but the DoD locked down all military from travel until a couple days ago and someone else was able to snatch it up.

Beggars can't be choosers, but in a perfect world the car would be fully featured (navi, premium, cold wx, H/K sound) and black on black. Manual transmission a must. I'm willing to flex as needed so let me know what you've got.

Located in NorCal and willing to fly out for the right deal deal. Thanks!

Just a heads up, my understanding is there's almost no difference between the I and IS when considering a manual. (Visual differences aside.) my understanding is they will make the same numbers with a tune.

The DCT is the main reason to buy.

There are differences, mostly in the realm of improved cooling, the slightly hotter tune and the front and rear bumpers. Bottom line; I’m a fan of the n54 and the e9x platform and the 12-13 335is are the youngest combinations you can get your hands on.

In terms of nonfactory tunes, don't they tend to max about the same? Like JB4, a reg n54 gets a 100hp bump to 400 and the IS gets an 80hp bump to 400? (What ever the numbers actually are) If I'm wrong please correct me. That's just the way I understand it.

Good point about the year though, definitely I good point!

From an aftermarket tune perspective I believe you're correct. The 335is has a lot of the supporting mods taken care of (extra radiator, bigger fan, ect) and is primed for the track out of the box, and it looks better IMHO. DCT is another big plus, if that's what your after.

DCTs are all over the internet, mostly e93s. But finding a nice e92 with a manual is proving tough.
