Where does this clip into?
On the wiring harness over by the right side in the engine bay, I have this: (see pic). Its not plugged into anything.

What year/model? I'll go look at my e90s in the garage and see if I can help, but mine are both 335i's.

It looks like the PCV heater element connector. Looks the same as in my 2011 335i, but I have it disconnected since I'm running an oil catch can. This picture looks to be where it connects maybe?
