advice on lowering E90 LCI M sport

here's my e90 lci the way it sits currently on stock sport suspension. I'm looking at 2 simple options for a drop......either the eibach pro kit or h&r sport.

wheel and tire combo are ARC8's 17x9 et30 squared & 255/40/17 conti DW's

what spring would you suggest?

Looks very clean and i like the rubber

I used to have the hnr sports but coming from the stock suspension it was a daily driveable drop but from sport suspension hnr sport it isnt much of a change overall

PS are your fenders rolled or is there any rubbing ? Thanks

+1. don't drop that car and potentially ruin the everyday drive ability she is too pretty for that. improve the ride by adding bilstein b8, or Koni sport... and enjoy.

I originally wanted a LeMans Blue sedan but the requirements of manual trans, RWD, LeMans Blue, N55, low mileage and decent price was too much to be able to find one. I ended up settling for Titanium Silver.

Seeing your car makes me wish I'd have gotten Sparkling Grey Metallic. Damn that is one sweet looking sedan. Beautiful.

no experience with those springs on an E90 platform but several experiences with the Eibach Pro kit on other platforms and they rode considerably comfortable for springs (progressive)... from what I read here, H&R can ride harsh...

here's my personal experience on the E90 platform:

Front lowering perch would be a good option also i recommend saving a little more for coilovers because after about 15-20k on my h&r sports my oem shocks were KIA and i ended up getting STs which were perfect for DD purposes

Did you ever decide on what springs to put on?

Oh ok. Your pics are beautiful and the way it sits now is perfect in my opinion. I have the same car as you and I've been trying to decide if I want to lower the car or not to just minimize the wheel gap as you are hoping to do. I have the same wheels but in 18". Here are the specs of mine.

Apex Arc-8
Front: 18x8.5" ET38 with 225/40/18 (profile 1) + 12mm spacer
Rear: 18x9.5" ET35 with 255/35/18 (profile 3) + 10mm spacer

If I ever decide to lower it, I'd choose eibach pro kit over the hr sports for the most minimal drop and best ride comfort. I've heard many people recommend ST coil overs but I'm still not sure yet. But actually we can put in springs first and if you don't like the drop or ride, can easily sell the springs and put in coil overs.

You'll be wasting too much money to do that. Just get coilovers from the start. STs, KWs, or FA 500s. Personally, with springs the ride was a bit rough.

I agree with the others, I think it looks great as it is. Leave it alone and drive the hell out of it. Replace the shocks with Bilsteins when the stockers wear out. Focus how how it drives, not how it looks.
