Greetings JP in Seattle; a question re the aftermarket charge pipe and blow off valve; from what I've read the original equipment diverter valve bleeds compressed air back into the turbocharger creating additional stresses on the turbocharger; and that replacing the diverter valve with a blow off valve eliminates this stress; have you found any upsides and downsides to your replacements of the charge pipe and installation of the blow off valve? I live in Gig Harbor appx 50 miles south of downtown Seattle and last week, purchased a beautiful 2013 335is DCT in Crimson Red with Saddle Brown interior @ 36.5K miles; found it in San Jose CA and drove her home last week; I too am looking at what you have done (charge pipe and blow off valve) and researching installing Dinan Stage 2 engine software; your thoughts would really be valued - thank you! Your car is absolutely beautiful and hoping it goes to a worthy garage.

these cars are known to have chargepipe problems so i always recommend a chargepipe upgrade. I chose a BOV because of what you said, and for the noise as well. These cars are great.

Thank you JP -
Have you noted any code issues thrown on the OBD or have you noted any "turbo lag" or change in how the engine delivers its power on partial throttle or full throttle?

Greatly appreciated; your ride is carefully maintained and gorgeous - hoping it goes to a kindred soul that will preserve and protect its rareness and beauty.
