hmmm, which Thornton is this? I work by one on pendleton ave and shadeland. its e85.

that would be awesome to just throw e30 into the tank! im getting 280-300 per tank running 5-6 gal of e85 right now.

Question for you guys. Before I go digging deep into the forums for blending and relentless search. What is the difference of e85/30? I put around 3-4 gals of e85 from Meijer on 96th st in Fishers along with 93 from Shell.
What would e30 do? How is it different? And from the messages it sounds like e85 is diluted down in the winter?

Any help would be appreciated!

I believe e30 is gas with less than 30% ethanol. E85 have about 77-50% ethanol. Mix accordingly

Hey Indiana people...I live in Noblesville and work in Indy, and I'm thinking about getting a 2011 335i soon. I notice most of you seem to have xDrive vehicles...I would really prefer not to get xDrive, because I think I prefer the feel of RWD and the added bonuses of weight/mpg savings.

So I wanted to see if anyone has a RWD 335i in the area, and how it's done this winter (assuming you have winter tires -- I would certainly get some). Is it manageable?

i have a 335i and run summer tires. i don't have any issues at all with getting around. i haven't missed a beat yet. i see no reason for awd, i mean its 2014, they have the roads clear within hours after the snow falls. yes sometimes its a day, but it would not deter me from a rwd car.

Yeah I saw that. No kidding, about time. I got on I65/I70 from Delaware downtown yesterday, and traffic was crawling around a MASSIVE series of potholes. I'm not kidding, these things were probably 4-5 feet wide and 2-2.5 feet deep. If you hit them at full speed it would rip the wheels right off your car.

When you got snow packed in your wheels like that, does it throw off the balance and make the car shake at higher speeds?

Reason I ask is I was testing my new 328xi's all wheel capabilities and got all four wheels packed with snow, like yours. Next day, my car shakes really bad over 40 mph. I call the dealer thinking I broke something, and the first thing the service manager asked was if i had snow packed in my wheels. He went on to explain that it will cause the shaking I am experiencing. At this point, I cant get the snow/ice off my wheels.

Just wondering if you have experienced anything similar.
I really dig those green rims as well.

rogermj- get a RWD 335. I have one and have no issues at all getting around. The traction control is great on it also.

Screw this weather! I am ready for Spring!

Looking ahead...

June 5, it's a Thursday. Cabral and I will be heading to Atlanta to spend the evening with the Gumball3000 cars. If anyone is interested, I'm sure a caravan down can be arranged. Keep it in mind...

The snow is gone! Woot! Time to get the toy retuned to mess around with ethanol blends.
