I really dont think you understand turbo vs NA intakes.

the intake feeds air directly to the turbo so i imagine the gains from install an intake on a turbo engine will be greater than an NA motor. but I still think a downpipe would yield better gains and not to mention a far better sound for roughly the same price.

those dual cone intake things for the n54 are heat soaked when sitting in traffic and just draw hot air in unless you are already moving at a good rate which just causes your intercooler to work harder. whats the point?

Absolute best and cost is no object? My vote is Gruppe M. Fully enclosed system similar to oem that only takes air from the front of the car but uses a much larger air filter area. Looks fing amazing with the hood up as well!

I wanted to come back in a state an observation after removing my BMS intake on the 335i and replacing it with the stock one. IATs were about 15 degrees (F) higher on average with the stock intake. I was actually shocked to see this though. I was logging temps through MHD doing both normal driving and spirited driving and the results were the same.

I wasn't able to monitor the stock intake back when I got the car because I had a tune and intake on the car in the first week after I bought it.
