Mine at 235/45/18 are also 26" I think. They go way inside the fender in rear with M3 arms so I raised up with adjustable perch.

Car is back! Running great. Suspension feels tight. There's a lot less movement over bumps with the stronger springs in the rear.
There's more NVH transmitted to the cabin, from Bilsteins HD/B6 (vs weakened OE dampers), M3 bushings, M3 ball joint control arms. Nothing too harsh or anything. Most of it is noise. Steering is smooth and tight. Less vagueness. Not as responsive as my NC series Miata but better than I remember for E90. Not sure if new tie-rod ends are helping or if the poly filled arms are helping. Brakes are firm for single pot floating calipers. Brass bushings may be helping with pedal feel. Now I just need to focus on getting the clutch replacement down the road. There was small leak on the front diff input shaft but heavy 90w-140 fluid mixed with 75w-90 may have stopped it. Replacement is not hard but PITA if not with the right tool to get the input hub out Last edited by Soravia; 02-22-2020 at 09:41 AM.. |

It is possible that my rear brake calipers were flipped (they look identical but mirror images) so the bleed nipples were on the bottom side of the caliper, causing air to trap away from nipple and on the upper side.
It was hard to tell which one went where after I pulled both out of their boxes for clean up. |

Suspension sends LOTS of vibrations to the interior when driving over broken cracked pavements.
It soaks up the bumps were when it is speed bumps or rail road bumps. I assume that larger brakes, wheels (added weight), and slimmer 235/45/18 Bridgestone Potenza S-04 tires with really stiff side walls, plus the Bilstein B6/HD dampers, plus stronger springs in the back end doesn't soak up these cracks in the road and sends them up the M3 rear sub frame. There's no harshness, but a lot of noise from the vibrations being sent up. |

Just a few hundred at most. I feel the Bilsteins were always damped in certain ways and act like that.
I wanted MeisterR because their damper work well for street and track, and last long but they only sell for RWD. |

Got the last piece of the rebuild done. Front diff input seal aka pinion seal was replaced. $165 labor. Replacing the front shaft bolts at the same time. They are single use with factory thread lockers.
Now only thing left are oil pan gasket and rear main seal. I'll take them when I do single plate flywheel clutch in 20k miles, along with valve cover gasket, fuel injector, header, and 3 stage intake. |
