DVD-DL stops work - drive won't read disc

Hello,
Today I burned latest europe maps for my CIC. I found drive won't read dvd-dl discs. I burned maps again, same result.

Tried to put maps in X5 2011, worked fine there.

My car reads CDs, DVD-R without problems. Last year I updated maps and DVD-DL worked fine.

Any idea how can I fix that? Maybe some cleaning CD?

Thank you

Reading a dual layer DVD is more difficult for the drive than single layer, burning on slowest speed possible is essential and using high quality disks is critical, maybe this time different brand/batch of DVDs or faster speed burn? 2011 car maybe has drive in better condition and can handle them, cleaner disk worth a go I guess but better to update firmware really and use usb map load which is loads faster and other benefits etc

All cleaning DVDs do is brush debris off the lenses which is rarely ever an issue.

Either the player cannot handle the dual layer disks, or the head moving mechanism is worn to the point that it cannot register properly or vibration prevents the laser from focusing.

If you have a working disk look up the media type number on it.
