Full size spare on staggered setup?

I'm running non runflats on my xdrive 2011 335i with stock staggered 18 inch msport wheels. I'm wanting to buy a full size spare for longer trips. Can I buy a spare the same size as my fronts and use it to temporarily replace a (wider) rear?

yes, diameters are nearly identical. that's the point.

most space savers have a width around 135, if the manufacturer use those tire as spare, then your full size is definitely okay even for rear.
However, I would drive slower on a spare even you mounted them on front. As long as the spare are not identical to your original (different rim, tire model, tire dimension, tire tread), it’s not safe to operate the vehicle at high speed.

I’m thinking to do the same. Spare tires kits for our vehicles are pretty expensive.
