335i Brake Upgrades (inc 2 piece brake rotors!)
Been meaning to do this earlier, but some pricing and info for 335i owners looking for replacement brakes and/or upgrades.
Front Brake Rotors (priced per pair) 1. OE Equivalent (blank) rotors (Zimmerman) $299 2. Cross Drilled & Slotted (1 piece) rotors $399 3. ECS 2 Piece Cross Drilled & Slotted rotors $699 ECS 2 piece rotors offer weight savings of over 2kg per rotor! In addition the rotor's two piece construction makes it less prone to warping (great for the track guys), the aluminium hats are corrosion resistant (bye bye rusty hubs) and they look plain sexy! Front Brake Pads (priced per pair) 1. OE Equivalent (Textar) $140 2. OEM Pads $160 3. Hawk HPS Compound $140 ideally suited to spirited street driving 4. Hawk Ceramic $160 street and occasional track day pad 5. Ferodo DS2500 $240 Rear Rotors TBA Rear Pads TBA Purchase a pad + rotor combo for 10% off + free wear sensor + free shipping |

2 sets of 2 piece rotors out the door today
If anyone is keen on the cross-drilled & slotted rotors (middle option) I will do an even sharper deal as I have 5+ pairs in stock. |

I was contemplating a full brake refresh just at the time these 2-pce ECS Tuning rotors became available. Very happy with the fit, performance and not to mention looks ... Thanks Stu for delivering me the pair overnight.

I have been very happy with the set I am now running on my 335i. The fit was perfect and the quality of the finish/machining is very good. Most important of all, performance is as I expected - silent and smooth. I was expecting there to be some kind of noise but there is hardly any (fitted with Akebono Ceramic pads at the same time) noticeable. There may be a faint 'swish' but you really need to be listening out for it with your window down.
My pads/rotors are still bedding in so it is early days but I am happy with them.

Hi stu.. i see you have time to post more products to sell but you dont seem to have enough time to reply to simple text messages.
besides my VMR wheels taking 5-6 mnths to settle even though you have full payment, the last time i spoke to you told me that you would order the wheels first and pay for the two that were damaged and when they come i would exchange my damaged ones with you and that you would settle with VMR/fedex. two and a half weeks later when i rang you to find out where are my wheels you told me that fedex and vmr have decided to ship the wheels meaning that you did not follow through with what you originally said of purchasing first and handling vmr/fedex after. And although fine i understand that you do not want to lose/use your money to rectify the situation as a business person you know what the right action is, especially if its been going on for the time it has. so since you dont seem to answer you messages maybe you can answer me here. I am already not to pleased with your business acumen for the moment because i will have to wait another 2-3 weeks due to the course of action you decided to take. All i asked you was did a tracking number from fedex get sent to you yet? thank you |

The pedal feel is quite different to stock. You do notice that immediately after jumping in the first time. The Akebono pads do not have the same initial bite that the stock ones do but that is improving as they bed in. They have more of a linear feel to them, meaning that the rate of retardation is even more dependant on pedal pressure. A few stops found me adapting to the new feel quickly and never have I felt that I do not have the same stopping power. Certainly putting more kms on them seems to improve their performance.
