Verizon RAZR - Now Available
The RAZR is available today online and will be in select stores on the 12th. I know RAZRs from other providers are on the approved list, does that automatically mean it will be approved through Verizon to integrate with the bluetooth in the car?

I have a RAZR through T-mobile and the BMW website does not list the RAZR under T-mobile, but my new phone works great with the car.

You should have no trouble with the bluetooth. the bluetooth is provided throught the phone not the carrier.

Looked at tonight @ Verizon...real phone. Nice, but not worth the money. Plus I am not so certain I am ready to commit to a total digital phone yet. I still need a tri-mode and supposedly Verizon is bringing back the V710.

Rinalds,
Thanks for the update on the RAZR. Does it have the disconnect issue like the E815? If not, I plan to have Verizon exchange the E815 for the RAZR. Hunt55 |

Yes, it has the same problems. When I first took the RAZR out there my phone (the E815) wasn't connecting and the car wouldn't find the RAZR either to try and make the initial pairing. I was running some errands and I left my phone in the car everytime I got out to try and "wake" it up. On the 3rd try my phone connected so I disconnected the E815 and paired up the RAZR (not sure what happens if you have to bluetooth phones on and paired with the car at the same time). It worked exactly like the E815 does, when it connects. Still has the spotty connecting issue though.
It is definitely a problem with the car's software. This is the third phone I have paired only to result in spotty connection with all of them. |
