Exclamation Remus muffler install for my 328 - Need HELP!

Anyone know whats required for this?

my car is leased and i'm doing mods that are only reversible, however plan to purchase my car at the end of the lease (assuming its not totally over priced).

I have read on a few exhaust posts that you have to cut the OEM muffler off to install the after market ones. Any way around this or any suggestions on how to mod the Remus so its just the same as my OEM and can remove it at some connection point of the exhaust. (I don't really know what it looks like down there buy most of my other cars have had a bolt on point somewhere along the line).

PLEASE HELP!

it should be a bolt on mod. no wielding or cutting required. that's the case for my sebring...however the low end of that exhaust was so bad that i gave it up

You can change it to a bolt on.. You'll just need to cut the original and weld a flange onto it, the new muffler, and the exhaust pipe itself.

well that doesn't really make any sense if i did that... not really gaining anything from it.

i finally looked under the car today and saw the OEM muffler isn't bolted on like i thought it might have been so I'm just gonna cut it off and clamp the new one on. then if i need to go back to stock i'll just weld the old one back on.

thanks for the help

jesus... ok so i was a bit timid last night in doing this whole thing. I went to Car-X this morning and they said it would cost me $180 for them to install it because they have to put all the new brackets on. Anyone else think thats a total ripoff?

might consider doing it myself again if there is a good DIY guide anyone knows of... I haven't seen any.

You should have installation instructions with your order. It points exactly where to cut and how to mount the exhaust. It is 70mm from your rear exhaust. No manufacturing of brackets is necessary, the 3 of them are included, that's a total ripoff.

Nice sound!!! The million-dollar question is, does it drone at 80 mph?

I am toying with the idea of getting a muffler for my 328 but I am worried it will drone or be too loud.

i was gonna go with a different muffler...once they got the car on the lift we took out the resonator.....then the secondary cats....so it ended up being a custom exhaust lol straight pipes from the cats to the new muffler i put in.....the sound is nice and deep which is what i wanted
They had to make 2 new brackets for me also
