Heated seat retrofit coding

Hi everyone!

I have seen some posts about heated seat retrofit and coding + watched tonns of youtube videos about coding but nothing from mentioned actually works for me.
The deal is - I have done wiring to fuse box and junction box now (manual seats + heating modules were installed from another car). I have connected through NCSExpert, tried adding $494 to VO (don't know if it happened) and coding some modules but I think my knowledge is not enough..
Now my car shows airbag sign and seat belt sign error.

And heated seats don't work of course.

Maybe someone could help me out? Like explain it real simple..?
How to add new modules, how to and what to code..?
I just don't want to mess up car and don't trust "coding experts" in my small country

My set-up is:
e90, 2005, 2.0 diesel.
NCS expert + NCS dummy
K+DCAN

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

What modules did you code after adding the VO?

CAS and FRM. I just did "lesen" and "codieren" without any "checking".
Somewhere there was written "seat module (new)". I remember pressing it and some kind of error came up and after that error lights appeared. It could be unrelated but that's something I remember..

You FA write to CAS and NFRM, after that you need to factory code JBBF and CIC/CAPPL with SG_Codieren.

Hi!

You are so kind, thank you for your input.

What does the first part mean? "FA write to CAS and NFRM"?
And how can I factory code JBBF and CIC/CAPPL?

Thanks

Ok so open up NCS Expert

F1
F3 choose CAS
F2 and add $494
F6 back
F4 process ecu and choose CAS
F2 change job and choose Fa_write
F3 execute job
F1 change ecu and choose NFRM
F3 execute job

Close out of ncs expert and open if back up again

F1
F3 choose CAS
F6 back
F4 process ecu and choose CIC/CAPPL (CIC for 09+, CAPPL for 06-08)
F3 Execute Job
F1 change ecu to JBBF
F3 execute job

Done. It's been a while since I've done this programming retrofit but I believe there may be a few lines you gotta change in JBBF but go ahead and do the above first and see if they work after.

Hi!

So the problem is:

1. I don't see NFRM after "change ECU" there's only FRM

and

I don't have/see CIC or CAPL (I think because car is 2005)

What should I choose?

Thanks!

Choose FRM, forgot to check the year of your car in the original post. After adding the VO ($494), skip the CAPPL/CIC step and just default code JBBF

Hi!

Thanks for update.

Tried all of this but nothing seems to work.
INPA shows "seat module (new)" and when clicking on it says that thewre is no communication.

I think all the wiring should be fine (from BMW heated seat retrofit guide).

Maybe you have any other ideas I could try?

Thanks!

if you have manual seats there will be no new modules for coding
simple heating module communicate using PWM signal from JBE
to enable this function you should code IHK and JBE modules with option added to FA

hello, tried everything with retrofitting from non heated seats (08/2007 e90) to 2006 heated sport seats, plugged in positive wires from x11006 pin 1 and 2, to pin 4, pin 34-38 to pwm pin 1, x11001 pin together to pin 5, and pin 8 grounding to front - under the hood, option added to FA $494 and FA_write to jbbl cappl and ihka, green led stays on but none of seats is actually heating... what can be the problem... thanks for any reply in advance, this toppic helped me a lot

may be you jbe do not have circuits for pwm signal
the jbe have a letter on their body which means how many options they support

ptpending thank you for replying, so maybe ill have to swap my jbe with one from a car that supports heated seats... mine has all the pins and stuff because i could wire the 34 and 38... how can i find out if it supports heated heats? the modules under seats are working because i replaced them on a functional e90 with heated seats and they warmed so no problem with the pwm modules under the seats...

also added option to fa and sg_codieren but only thing that happens is buttons LED light up when pressed, but that can also happen because of the 5 amp fuse, does it matter positive wires location, or can you wire them from anywhere empy 30 amp location, i did
x11006 pin 1 and 2 to pin 4 30 amp fuses, i checked continuity and they work, really dont know what else i could do but going to someone else who knows better and let them rewire everything...

@ptpending when i try to add again 494 it already shows in the selection submenu.. so i think coding is fine, switched heating modules with a friend and they also work...only on his car haha..
