The x car will be 5mm higher with both being standard suspension and same rim size.. If the rwd has sport suspension that gap increases...

I have thought that every e92 335i rwd has a sport suspension in the standard.
So what is the difference in the suspension height between the standard and sport suspension in e92 335i rwd ? What is the vin option code (name) which allow to determine if a car has the sport suspension ?

Nope if you have S225A you dont have sport suspension or the later m sport suspension on a e92... With the exception of some very first e92 if you dont have S704A you dont have sport suspension..

The different between standard and sport suspension in the US is 12mm so if you have a e92 335ix and a e92 335i with standard suspension and the same size wheels the ix will be 5mm higher.. If the 335i has sport suspension than the ix will be 17mm higher with same wheel size..

I have found another option: S226A - sports suspension settings. How it differ from S225A and S704A ?

It looks like that xdrive has it's own suspension and it is not defined as separate option after decoding vin.

S226A is the earlier code for S704A.. So S226A=S704A.. Both being sport/m suspension.. And the S225A being standard.

As far as I know there was only one option for the ix suspension...

I have found a few suspension kits for e92 335xi. Each of them makes the front car lower than the back, for example some H&R springs: front -25mm, rear -10mm. What is the reason ?

The reason is BMW has a factory rear sag. Meaning the rear of the car is lower than the front. This is one of the first thing I fixed on my car since it bugged me every time I seen it. The rear was 5/8 lower than the front. Anyways the kits are made to level out the car.

Does the ratio - front suspension height / rear suspension height is the same for 335xi and 335i with the sport suspension ?

I don't know exact numbers but it looks like that the difference in height between front and rear suspension is greater in the xdrive version.
Does the 17mm difference refer to the front suspension (335xi vs 335i with the factory sport suspension) ?
