drive to SF and get it done at Mach III. It's the only place for e9X's at a decent price. A number of forum members have gone to them for tint, clearbra and suspension installs. They're really your best bet. I only trust my car with them. Contact Ray and tell him Alex sent you.
They took care of my dot matrix perfectly and stand behind their initial install with touchups and sometimes even redos if something goes wrong down the road.

+1 on that. They knew which parts of the interior "squeegee" to cut off so that the tint doesn't get cut / scratched (common E90 problem). These guys aren't cheap, but their work reflects what they charge.

How much is the tint jobs at these places? I usually tint my own car but I might have someone else do tint on this car.
BTW, if you guys are using a radar detector, the metallic tint will greatly reduce coverage of your radar detector. It's so bad that even Valentine has a warning about metallic tint. |

+10 for Rocky Mountain. Matt did an excellent job on my car. I went with the Formula One Pinnacle 35% all the way around (except front windshield). I think the price was $400

I got the same tint and darkness as you and same original price, but sunroof was an extra $35. I think everyone who has gone there has been happy, even though it's not the cheapest place.

Legal in CA is no tint on any of the windows next to, and in front of, the driver. So front side windows and windshield... I haven't had issues yet, but it's just a matter of time.

if you're really worried about being pulled over for the front sides, you can go with a lighter shade on those...somewhere around 45-50% (or none at all if you don't mind a larger contrast). personally, i went with 35% all around on mine (minus front windshield).
