Mosfet keeps blowing after several fixes

Whats up guys I’m new to the forums here I have a 2008 335xi with 159k I did a valve job and I started to get misfires looked at the codes and got a 30ba and a bunch of other misfire codes, injector 1 mosfet bad, I replaced the mosfets all 6 and the car ran fine, I had to do the valve cover again bc it seemed to me it was pinched and was leaking alil in the front, put everything back together, boom again misfires, 30ba several misfires, injector 1 mosfet bad again, got it replaced, new coils, 3 new index 12 injectors on bank 1, coded, started her up again, blew mosfet injector 1 again, what could this be I’m stuck

Any Help would be appreciated thank you guys

You have damaged the harness and is shorting out now. I suggest you swap the harness.

Hey man thanks for the quick response, is there any way to check the harness?
It’s only seems to be shorting our number 1 mosfet I don’t see why I would need to replace the harness, could I just replace the wiring that connects to the injector or the coil?

Like feuer said; if it's not that, it could be the DME.
You cannot test the harness easily, but do a visual inspection on all wiring on that injector/coil, track it all the way to the DME.

You have to more likely remove the intake charge pipe as it goes under that into a connector box.... but it's doable in a couple of hours.

Okay will check all of the wires, if one of them does end up bad do I need to replace the whole harness or could I just replace that wire?

If you are good with soldering you could replace the suspect wire with similar size and do heat shrink wrap to insulate... I've done it before, no worries. Problem is finding which one it is.

You could measure for continuity if you suspect it is not connecting all the way, but if what feuer said is true, you will find shorting in the harness, case when all you need to do is insulate...

lack of connectivity is very unlikely to cause the problems you are having.

when you upgrading injectors for revision 12 you should upgrade all 6 injectors, coils better to replace with such mileage
