Exhaust Clamps

Has anybody tried to use exhaust clamps for their secondary cat deletes instead of welding them. I live in California and muffler shops aren't willing to cut the secondary cats out. I have vibrant 1790s that will go in the place of the secondary cats. I will also try to throw some JB weld so that nothing leaks.

It could work... but if you look harder, I'm sure you'll find someone to help you weld provisions for a test pipe.

What exactly are you hoping to gain by removing secondary cats?

I am about to do the work myself as from reading threads and having discussions second cat delete along catless DPs will make your MHD pops much louder and remove the rasp at 4500+ RPM.

If I were to do it using clamps, I wouldn't use JB weld I would use Fiber Fix or something like that underneath the clamp.

But why not buy a small welder. I got one for 200$ and learning right now how to weld.

If you have time I would say it's worth it to learn. With Flux core MIG no need for gas.
