225/255 will look stretched. You're better off with 235/265, 245/265, or 245/275. I will probably run 275's in the back when these are done.

Im on just sport package suspension. When they fitted wheels they heated the plastic wheel line in the wheel well, and then he pounded the metal fender slightly but he didnt have to use the fender roller tool.

I drove it around no rubs some hard cornering and going over railroad tracks, freeway entrances on slight downgrade and one with incline and no rubbing. (but it was only loaded with myself and all 4 of my older 19 inch rims/tires)

Sumitomo 265/35/18 in the rear and no rubbing at all. Shop said even if we lowered we wouldn't have any issues rubbing. Fitment overall was a snap

Here is a few crappy pics car isnt washed since the weatherchannel keeps tellin us it will rain soon !! But it hasnt yet.

Update: Pics with 5mm Bimmerworld spacers on all 4 wheels

So far I don't rub, but I need to drive around with passengers in the back seat to get my final answer. That would bring the front/rear offset to ET24/ET18. The rear didn't look too bad before, but the front tucked a bit and I wanted a more aggressive/flush stance. It looks great in person!!

With spacers Clean car!

Without spacers (you can see how it tucked just a bit) Sorry, car was dirty here

With 5mm spacers (looks pretty flush)

Hey man,

My question is kind of repeated but if my 328i has the stock sport suspension will these rub at all? The wheels I wanna buy are 265/40 at the rear and 245/40 in the front.
Thanks for your help in advance! Car looks awesome!

Thanks for the compliment. I think I addressed your question via PM.

You should be okay at stock height running the same size tires I did. You could even do a 235 up front. I would roll a 4 fenders as well.

my biggest concern is the rear offset at 23 on 9.5s. you think i'll be okay without fender rolling on the stock 225 front and 255 rear? i may do that first to and see if it looks okay and if no then upgrade to the wider tires

Is the e90 LCI 335i's any different from pre-lci's?

How about the OEM 18" 260M wheels with the Michelin tires, will it still rub on a E90 LCI on the stock sport suspension ?

Im thinking if that doesnt work im going to use the stock 255 tires for the rear and havbe a bit of a strecth, i hope it isnt too much.

question on wheel set with my E90 sedan.

mtechnik3,

I have a base model e90 335i sedan. Now I plan to upgrade my wheels to 189 OEM stock wheels that E92 uses. As you know, it comes with 225/40 R18 front and 255/35 R18 rear.

My question is if it is possible to use 189 OEM wheel sets and try with a different size sets for tires such as 265/35/18 in rear and 225/40/18 or 245/40/18 in front?

I will do the suspension another time as I plan to lower it down the road to Koni or KW Coilovers. BTW, you car looks amazing.

That will probably work, but look pretty stretched. I'm no big on that look with my set up.

The rear track on LCI E90 Sedans is 16mm wider (8mm per side). Even with a 255 rear tire, ET23 may be to aggressive. I'd have to do some research to see how aggressive LCI owners/members are going. I might test fit these on my wife's LCI E90 Sedan on stock ZSP suspension, and see how it works out.

Thanks for the compliment.

I would ask one of the wheel/tire sponsors (EAS, JLevi, Supreme Power PySpeed...) and see if they can help you out. Tires with a rounder sidewall (Falken FK-452, Toyo T1R) may look okay, but most others might look too chunky on your OEM 189 wheels.

i gotta say it looks very very good. Have you not considered to go 235/40 though on the fronts? This way you'd match the rolling diameter very well though you might have a bit of a stretched look on the front. Or difference is not noticable? (on pics it really isnt'). Just thinking speedo readings and gear box stress and all.

on a side note, do you think using these exact wheels with 235/40 and 265/35 would be ok without rolling any fenders at all and using your suspension drop?

Gentlemen,

Just to set the record straight, the M3 wheels that you all have are U.S. spec Style 219M wheels, vice the 260M, which is the Euro version (see links).

The main difference between the two is that the U.S. version has ET29 on front and rear wheels, whereas the Euro 260M is ET29 front, ET23 rear.

Euro version is a little more angular (see vortex link for a side view of wheel rep of 260M):

Thank you for clearing this up, and I stand corrected. I've spent the last hour of so doing research on this. Back in 2008 the Euro and US specs/ordering guide initially listed Style 260M 18" wheels. Seems as though Europe has the style 260M version because they have a different TPMS design (built into the braking system). US and Canada have style 219M. The gunmetal style 219M wheels are not longer available on the M3 ordering guide, and will be replace by Reflex Silver as of 5/18.

However, I've never heard that the rear offsets are ET29. It doesn't even look that way when you mount them. I used to have VMR V710s and VB3s in ET22, and the 219M wheels sat almost identical when I mounted them.

They are listed at ET29 front, ET23 rear here >>
