Rod knock on 50k motor

So went out to do some pulls for data logs to send to ken for my custom tune and bam after I finished a pull like 5 mins later after doing a third gear pull I hear this ticking coming from the motor. I am almost certain it's rod knock I have no codes expect knock sensor which I'm guessing is from the rod knock vibrations.

Fuel trims maxed out at one point, that could have done it for sure.

That's what people are telling me, time for new motor or mostly will just try to rebuild this one with new crank and maybe rods.

Looks like you have leaky injectors

It doesn't make sense for your fuel trims to be maxed out with port injection. What did Wedge say about your log?

For sure its a rod knock though? Some times the injectors tick and you can see your rail pressure hanging around 2000 psi at idle and as soon as you hit the pedal the noise goes away and the rail pressure goes back down to around 600-700 psi. This has happen to my car a few times not sure what causes the rail pressure to kick up so high at idle.

Here's how it sounds definitely sounds like rod knock to me but others have told me various things like evap tick, injector being loose

Yeah that sounds like a compression loss and some sort of a piston slap. Does the noise increase with rpm?

Haven't turned it on since to try if noise Increases but when I was driving it started of super small then I drove a bit more and it became extremely loud it would go away somewhat when I would accelerate but was still there to some extent

Damn that sucks. Let me know what he says about the STFT because your port injection is obviously working since the rail pressure is 2000+ psi. I was getting tuned by Wedge and stopped after the 5th revision. My STFT were all over the place. I got in contact with my old tuner V8Bait finally since he's busy with personal life and work. He was able to handle it like a champ.

Nice glad to hear you got that sorted out, I'll let you know what he says but over base map he sent me looked to aggressive IMO

Hmm, that audio sounds a lot more like what i've heard from a bad lifter than rod knock. Let me see if I can find any videos.

Of course, based on the log I wouldn't be surprised by rod knock.

Edit: Having trouble finding a good video. Do you have a stethoscope? I'd probably start poking around with one. Of course audio direction is pretty hard to hear over a video but that sounded like it was coming from the top end to me.

Edit 2: https://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1080990 This thread has the video I was referencing. It's pretty poor quality so in retrospect yours sounds a lot louder but :

I'm assuming that you let the oil time come up to 160+ degrees F before you flogged on it?

Also...it looks like you are getting quite a bit of timing corrections throughout the entire 4th gear pull, and your target boost was 25psi...but you were only hitting 20-21psi. Was this a base tune from Ken, or a review after he got a chance to look at things and make adjustments?

Hmm, curious, I'm guessing you have the AIC6 split second controller? Did ken send you anything to flash to it with the base map?

I am aware of this, but from what I've seen from the guys I know running PI, is that the controller should be flashed by the tuner. Unsure if this were the case for the base maps but my buddy in San Diego with Pure Hi-Flows and PI gets new flashes from his tuner just for his AIC all the time.

Sounds good then. Was simply just curious.

Just looking over the log more, are you stock TMAP?
