Any BMW mechanics or good shops?!
Ok so my '07 BMW 335i broke down with a transmission issue, gear icon on the dash, codes P17E1 and P17E5. With the car in drive... it will barely move... almost feels like the e-brake is on.. and it's dragging (but the brake is not on..).
Anyone come across this? What is a good shop to take it to? thanks, please help! :/ |

I researched those errors..from what I read it could be as simple as mechatronics sleeve needing replacement..causes transmission fluid to leak onto wiring generating errors..people with these error codes have other transmision symptoms like jerkiness..etc..
Finding a knowledgeable shop is essential.. |

There was another thread like this for a Detroit shop about 3-4 days ago. Look further down.
