Where to buy? 6000k D1S low beam HID bulbs?

As title says...

I want a deal, but nothing cheap quality.

No vendors on this site have responded to my requests...

6000k is what you find on Astons, bentleys which have more of a blue hue to the light right?

many thanks

I'd try HIDs Direct or HIDs4U. Both will be able to supply decent quality bulbs at a sensible price.

I found these from HIDs direct... http://www.hids-direct.co.uk/d1s-hid...lbs-p-451.html

They are only £30!!!! Do you think they are reputable enough? Im sure they would perform well... But could they blow my ballasts??????

Best,

I've had stuff from them before, as have a number of friends and family - it's always been very good quality kit. Can't see why it would be a problem.

hidbulbsrus on ebay, or TRS.

The blue "hue" is 100% from the lenses of the projector, and nothing to do with the bulbs. A clear lens will have a nice thick band of blue along the cutoff.

Personally, I'd only fit good quality bulbs from a reputable manufacterer, such as Osram or Philips.

Something like these should be good:

But finding a UK supplier may be easier said then done, unless you're happy to have them shipped over and bear the customs charges

Talking where to buy low beam HID bulbs

My car is a 2006 330i Sedan with HID lights. The left side low beam light was dead after 7 years since I bought the car. Dealer was asking for $200+ for just checking what was going wrong. I decided to do the replacement myself. So I bought the exactly same HID bulb from amazon which cost me $35, and I used a coin (a quarter) as the only tool to finish the job. Cool? Check this Youtube video to see how I did it.
Happy DIY.

Here is the link where I bought the HID bulb: (the price went up though)

You could try the Osram CBI 5000k if you're after an improvment. Apparently standard for into Merc E class.

Personally i'd go for their 4300 silverstar upgrade. Not cheap but meant to be a big improvment.
