I had fueling issues to the same car another life ago. The reality is that the water may not have been intentionally added. Older stations may have cracked tanks that allow ground water to seep in.

Well shit, Amoco is Top Tier? They're way cheaper here than anywhere else. Hmm.

Like E93dude said, watch for those sh*thole mom and pop places.

The base gas is the same but the QC once its on a truck is another matter. Some people buy overruns, that little bit of gas left in a tank, or old gas. Or they could just have complete crap old tanks that are leaking fuel out and water/earth in.

I would stick to those big stores. I dont know how it works in other markets but in the midwest and down here in the southeast you have a few chains that are corporate owned. My fav is quiktrip, but we also have racetrack, etc down here in the south too.

Their gas is going to be as good as anyone else "good" gas, the main reason I tend to go to those places is the corporate control of everything else. Free air/water, clean sh*tters you dont have to ask for a boat oar with a key attached to get into, no meth addicts in the back playing the illegal slots, actual soapy water in the squeege tanks instead of hobo piss, etc.

I don't think it matters at all if it was intentional. Doesn't pay the repair bill either way.

I'd argue--of COURSE it's not intentional because a business wouldn't want to intentionally screw over their customers like that, but if they can’t afford to properly maintain their storage tanks then the customer is the one with a broken car after saving a two dollars on a tank of gas.

Plus that mechanical fuel injection on the e21 was a nightmare regardless of fuel quality

I'm glad they brought the legendary Amoco brand back. I guess after the BP spill they decided it might be a good idea.

Also, I'm a big fan of QuikTrip and Buc-ees. High quality standards for cleanliness, fuel, food, and customer service. QT trains and pays its employees quite well.

From now on I'm refering cheap gas, low grade oil, crud on intake valves, Coors Light...anything substandard as hobo piss.

Yeah love QT. Buc-ees is just starting to make its way down here apparently. They built one just up from the racetrack I was just at outside of Birmingham and, holy god, that is one impressive gas station. MASSIVE.

Remember friends, walnut blasts are helpful with keeping your DI engine valves clean from hobo piss
