They are catted. I always ran them with a tune so I don't know if they are efficient enough to NOT trip a CEL though.

Andy W - I would say get this. :-) I have a e93 as well, and I prefer it with the hi perf cats. First, with the hi perf cats it offers much performance enhancement over the restricted stock DP. In my setup with a Hi Perf Cat, there is no raspiness, and no droning. Also with the convertible top down, it is not too loud like catless DP's. Note that these are 3 inch DP's that tapers to 2.5.
