Can't go this week but wanting to get back to Bandimere soon. I think I've used ATR to push about as far as I can go on stock hardware and am curious what kind of time I'll get. Then I'll put the Helix in. I'm hoping it will cool off the last half of August...

You blew your turbo again?!?!
I want to go to Bandi again, but probably won't until I get my LSD installed. |

Didn't really get to try it out yesterday it since I had the stock diff. in the trunk on my drive home and didn't want it rolling around the back. Will give it a good run out this weekend and let you know.

Hi guys! Been away from the scene for a bit, so just trying to get back into the flow of things. Still trying to get used this ring on my finger, but I couldn't be happier right now. Please forgive any stupid questions/statements from me as I try to get caught up.
@Craig: Hey man, so how's the Wavetrac doing? Making a big difference? @Hoai: Congratulations, V1! (Or is it V2?) Beautiful baby girl! Heard you sold your E92. That thing was crazy fast. What did you get for a replacement? @AR: Can you guys hook me up on a 5" ETS FMIC?!? Looking to get a little more power out of my Cobb. :-P Hoping to stick around a bit more now that things are starting to quiet down a little bit. Still going to be busy for the rest of Aug and first 2/3 of Sept, but no plans after that. Hope to see you guys around.

Hey Vincent, congrats on getting married!
Haven't really flogged the car yet with the Wavetrac, but so far I love it. Its hard to explain, but it just hooks up now on cornering in a way it didn't before. Have to watch it a bit, as it will definitely power oversteer now pretty easy especially with the extra power I have....but its very predictable when it does...and lots of fun, lol. Oh, Matt and I were talking about hitting up Bandimere again on the 22nd, anyone else down? |

Thanks, fellas! Hope things are going well with you guys too.
@V: No worries, man. Congratulations to you and Kelly again! So what's this about getting rid of the E92 and blown turbos? @Craig: Sweet. What tune are you running now? Is the XI rear pumpkin the same unit as on the I? I think I've heard of a couple folks with Quaife units in their XI's, but haven't heard much about the Wavetracs. I wonder if the LSD messes with (delays?) xDrive's ability to transfer power from back to front. I still have a long list of things to get done on the car before I even consider an LSD. *cough*FMIC*cough* Does Andrew or A.R. ever check these forums anymore?

Don't worry, I put Vincent's parts to good use....I have his Cobb AP, catless DP's, and HPF FMIC on mine now Oh and his Wavetrac of course.
Yes, pretty sure the rear diffs are the same for the XI and the I, only difference is between the manual and autos, where manuals get a 3.08 final drive, and the auto 3.46...and of course the welded vs. bolted ring gear. |

Ahhh, so V's car lives on in yours, then. Nice. Now I understand why you need the LSD. Looking forward to seeing how it runs, especially up here at altitude.
My car's a 2007.5 (June) production, so I'm pretty sure I ended up with the welded ring gear. I'd have to go swapping internals if I wanted to upgrade, but like I said, that's a long ways off. Not really interested in extracting max power out of this car, since it's my DD.

I got it down to very low 13s at 109.x mph at Bandimere a while ago...hot day though, so I think on a cool day I can hit 12's, especially since I have the LSD now.
