Nice time tony! Are you on runflats Mt or dct?

Sorry I took so long to update took a nice vacation up to Colorado man I wish I had my 135 the roads in the mountains were amazing.

Anyway the new firmware seems to build boost even faster than before building boost instantly. Feels excellent !

So if I understand, the set up is the plug and play stage 1 already available and to get stage 2 you install a couple of wires on the DB 25 connector and you twist a couple of wire with existing wire inside the ECU?

I imagine you also have to update the firware in the DB25 stage 1 connector?

This stage 2 will be compatible with all DME version or only the new one?

So, is there gonna be a JB4 for the N55? Seems so with IancoleTX's post. I bought a JB4 with the thought that I was going to be getting an 08 335i, well, the wife decided to just get a new one...which works out better for us anyway. But, before I sell the JB4 and get a JB3, should I just wait? Will the JB4 I bought work on the N55? Are all the DME plugs the same and everything?

I would wait for the N55 Stage 2, you will have the onboard CAN tool, and a heck of a lot more power over the JB3 N55 stage 1.

The N54 and N55 are not compatable. Depending on when your car was built, Pre/Post Feb. 2011 will make a difference on what you order. The connectors changed after Feb. 2011, you will specifiy this at the time of ordering, so BMS send the correct harness.

Good luck!

Rich

I have a question.

If I bring my car to the dealer for my annual maintenance with the Jb installed on map 0. Will they detect the mod if they only perform the usual maintenance (change the oil, basic scan etc)?

If they have to update my DME for any reason (futur BMW update) will they detect the JB?

just remove it - eliminate the worry. it's easy enough. really.

Jeff,

It is probably best to remove the harness altogether before bringing the car in. Terry himself actually installed the harness for me back around Christmas time and I removed it myself before bringing it in the other day for my annual service. They flashed my car to the newest software so apparently I need to update my control unit before I can reinstall it.

I am anxious to get Stage 2!

I have Stage 1 with the car bone stock aside from it. Is it safe to just install Stage 2 without any other mods? Do I need to install anything else?
